WebDec 17, 2007 · 33-378 then that is a big cannon and would be all thats needed. as for the 300WSM vs the 308 , well the 300 WSM is gonna win every fight they get into ballisticaly , but the barrel is gonna wear out faster , the ammo cost more , it kicks harder , but for deer at 1000yds its a better gun that the 308 if you can shoot it.
